The house rules, short and clear.

1.What this covers

By using What to Eat you accept these terms and Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (EULA), which applies to every App Store app. If anything here conflicts with the law that protects you as a consumer, the law always prevails.

2.Using the app

What to Eat offers cooking inspiration. Recipes may need adjusting for your equipment, ingredients and way of cooking. Always make sure food is properly cooked, especially meat, fish and eggs.

3.Allergies and health

The information in the app is not a substitute for advice from a doctor or dietitian. Diet labels are a guide: check ingredients, allergens and cross-contamination before preparing or eating a recipe. When you change the servings, double-check quantities and times too.

4.Premium subscriptions

  • Premium is offered as an auto-renewing monthly or yearly subscription. The price and period are shown in the app before you confirm the purchase.
  • Payment is charged to your Apple account when you confirm the purchase.
  • The subscription renews automatically unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Renewal is charged within the 24 hours before the period ends.
  • You can manage or cancel it in your Apple account settings (Settings › your name › Subscriptions) or from Settings › Manage subscription in the app.
  • If a free trial is offered, any unused part of it is forfeited when you buy a subscription. Cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends and you won't be charged.
  • Apple handles refunds under its own terms.

5.Free version and ads

The free version includes a limited number of swipes a day and 7 open recipes per country. You can earn extra passes by choosing to watch ads. These limits may change in future versions.

6.Content and licences

The cookbook is distributed under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 licence (CC BY-SA 4.0), and every photo keeps its author and licence, listed in Settings › About › Sources and licences. The code, design and What to Eat brand belong to its developer.

7.Availability and changes

We may improve the app, change features or update the cookbook. If a change affects what your subscription includes, we'll tell you in advance.

8.Liability

We take care over every recipe, but the app is provided as is, to the extent the law allows. Nothing in these terms limits your rights as a consumer.

9.Governing law

These terms are governed by Spanish law. If you're a consumer, you can also go to the courts where you live and rely on the mandatory consumer protections of your country.
